From the ACT Epsom Candidate: David Seymour
Today I am very proud to be selected by the ACT Party to contest the Epsom electorate this 2014 Election.
As in previous elections, Epsom is likely to play a pivotal role in determining New Zealand’s future. By electing an ACT
candidate, Epsom voters can enable the ACT Party as a reliable support partner for a stable John Key led centre-right
government. Without such a partner we may see Prime Minister David Cunliffe and Minister of Finance Russel Norman.
Alongside this strategic reality, Epsom voters deserve to have the best possible local MP. I will be working hard all
year to show Epsom voters that I can be that MP. An MP who is engaged, approachable, stands up for local people in times
of difficulty, and represents Epsom values in parliament.
I have deep roots in Epsom. I have lived, studied, worked, volunteered and socialised here for much of my life. It is
where my friends are and it is a part of New Zealand that I love dearly.
I believe in a collegial approach to politics – in working together within ACT and with our potential coalition partners
to deliver stable, disciplined government. Such a government should set sound and stable policy that allows people to
get on with building prosperous families, businesses, and lives.
Yours sincerely,
David Seymour
