Changing Language in Changing Times:

relevance that it deserves to be branded 'Word of the Year.' This year that word is 'selfie' - as in self-portrait via a

earned special distinction - so much that they need to be eliminated from our vocabulary or, at minimum, refined so that
they add clarity to our discussions, not confusion.
