A Fair Go for the 50-Plus
There is not universal agreement that we have a wise and benevolent government who sees to it that older people get the
level of social support that they need. Grey Power is a lobby organization which promotes the welfare and well-being of
all citizens in the 50 plus age group. One area of concern is medical care. They write that many patients "spend their
time on the phantom waiting list, shuffling between their GP and a specialist, until the condition deteriorates
sufficiently to attain the necessary points to qualify for the waiting list."
The guest In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Face Television this week is the director of the Northern Branch of Grey
Power, Bill Rayner.
