Saturday 21st September: Maori health has been in the news this week, with the Maori caucus of the Public Health Association hosting the PHA’s annual conference in New Plymouth. Among the speakers was Leonie Matoe from Te Hotu Manawa Maori, the Maori heart health organization. She talks to Kia Korero Mai presenter Eru Morgan about the hui and the state of Maori health.


Sunday 22nd September: Whakapapa for Maori is not only about about who you are and where you're from, it’s about where you are going. Kotuku Tibble is about to embark on a journey of discovery to Germany, the birthplace of Maxmillian Johanne Von Gerta aka John Gotty, who ended up in Aotearoa with a wahine with bloodlines from Tuwharetoa / Maniapoto / Ngati Toa Rangatira - Puhi Wahine
Kotuku’s taking a camera with him, so his journey will eventually be shown on Maori Television

Korero Mai Ki Ahau a half hour features programme every Saturday and Sunday from noon, which takes an in – depth look at issues affecting te ao Maori. Totally in te reo Maori brought to you by Waatea News in association with Te Mangai Paho.
