Life is Cheap in New Zealand
Life is Cheap in New Zealand
But that is understandable with our Criminal centred offender friendly legal process
He killed a defenceless woman and injured two others yet he is likely to be released just three months after being sentenced.

And that says the Sensible Sentencing Trust makes a mockery of anything that has the audacity to call itself a Justice System.
Just the thought of this killer being released has horrified the family of Sara Niethe who was brutally murdered by Mark Edward Pakenham, a crime he was sentenced for in the Hamilton Court only last month.
Trust Spokesman, Garth McVicar said the fact a killer could be released just three months after being sentenced for a brutal killing ridiculed the victim and her family. “Anyone working within a system that condones this pathetic behaviour should hang their head in shame”.
“Surely anyone working in this system must see the connection between N Z’s exorbitantly high crime rate and the Criminal centred-offender friendly legal process that puts criminals before Victims.”
“AS the Minister of Justice says, Crime is a choice and prison is entirely voluntary, and it is no wonder we have so many people volunteering to go to prison when life is so cheap”.
“For a country that prides itself as being a caring compassionate nation it seems we have things very much back the front with a crime rate to match our attitude.”

Mr McVicar said on top of pathetic sentences such as this the fact that the office of Human Rights is paying a convicted paedophiles legal expenses while his victims are refused any financial assistance and it paints a very dismal picture for a country that used to be the safest in the Western world.
