Unions Mourn Loss of Parekura Horomia
Workers will be deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Parekura Horomia says the Council of Trade Unions.
Helen Kelly, CTU President and Syd Keepa, Vice President Māori said today that Parekura Horomia was a strong supporter of workers and would come to many hui held by unions.
“He recently attended the biennial conference of the CTU Runanga where he spoke of his concerns for working people and offered assistance”.
“We express our sincere condolences to Parekura’s family, his people, and also the wider Labour Party whanau who have lost a man of great mana”.
