Rotary seeks public support
RNZWCS (Rotary New Zealand) is registered with the Charities Commission and is listed in Schedule 32 of the Income Tax Act. Therefore all donations made by the public are tax deductible. Rotary New Zealand works with trusted partners in third world countries who have the same service above self ethos.
Rotary New Zealand is currently seeking donors for partner activities’ in Pacific countries, India and Swaziland in Southern Africa and Tanzania in East Africa. The activities include water and sanitation, agriculture and horticulture, health and education as well as capacity building for sustainable economic development. Director Stuart Batty encourages donors wishing to support Rotary, to make their donation before 31 March to qualify for a deduction in this tax year and help fulfil the aspirations of those committed to improving the quality of life in their communities. Donations from $5 to $500,000 would be most welcome.
Rotary New Zealand provides feed back to major donors, often inviting them to accompany their representatives on monitoring and evaluation visits.
