Corrections Dept On Stewart Murray Wilson
The Department of Corrections has successfully applied for an interim recall to prison for offender Stewart Murray Wilson following allegations of him phoning a person he had been directed not to associate with.
The Parole Board considered the application this afternoon and following its decision Mr Wilson has been returned to prison.
The Board will consider whether or not a final order is made at a hearing before the end of March.
Corrections has been vigilantly monitoring this offender’s compliance with his parole conditions and immediately made the application after it received information that led it to believe he had breached his parole conditions.
The NZ Police assisted in this matter.
Corrections will also pursue legal action relating to this alleged breach through the courts.
