Kiwi in Gaza during November attacks returns to speak on the conflict
Kiwi Roger Fowler who was in Gaza while Israeli bombs dropped in November, will speak about the attacks and occupation at Auckland University on Thursday.
Mr Fowler was sent to Gaza and Cairo on behalf of Kia Ora Gaza's website to investigate progress towards opening the besieged Palestinian enclave to the world, in the wake of the Arab Spring and Egypt's democracy revolution.
While he was there Israel inflicted eight days of intense bombardment on the Gaza Strip, killing 170 people, mainly civilians including elderly and children. Mr Fowler reported on the military blitz from Gaza city.
In the presentation, Roger will speak of his experiences. He will be joined by participants of the Kia Ora Gaza aid convoy in June, Tali Williams and Hone Fowler.
