Maori Council to meet Sharples
The New Zealand Maori Council and co-claimants in the national water case before the Waitangi Tribunal met by teleconference this afternoon and resolved to meet with Minister Sharples on Monday 6 August.
This was after earlier declining to attend a meeting on the basis that the proposed program was found to be unacceptable
The New Zealand Maori Council appreciates the Minister intervening to amend the program, and looks for forward to the hui with the Minister and other interested parties.
