Colin Craig: Forget the Sex, Sort Out the Money
Forget the Sex, Sort Out the Money
“Key might not oppose gay marriage but I do” says Colin Craig, Leader of the Conservative Party.
“Mr Key should know better. New Zealand has had enough social engineering; it’s time to bring government back to core services. The Conservative Party is about limited government and we do not support an ever expanding state meddling in the affairs of it’s citizens”.
“There is nothing preventing gay people having meaningful relationships” says Craig, “we have provision for civil unions already”.
“New Zealanders are getting so tired of politically correct posturing. Political correctness doesn’t change how people think, it just prevents them speaking up. I am happy to speak up and go on record as one who would vote against this proposed bill.”
“Government needs to get out of the bedrooms of the country”.
“The marriage institution being a relationship between a man and a woman predates government. It is not the job of government to start re-defining marriage.”
“This week there’s been plenty of controversy around sex and the bedroom. These are matters I think the government should leave well alone. Far more important in my view is the news that we are short of budget and heading for another big national deficit.”
“Let’s forget the sex and sort out the money” he says.
