Occupy Auckland Announces Participation In The Global General Strike: 1st May (May Day) 2012
Occupy Auckland is pleased to recognise the call to General Strike issued by the global Occupy movement; which asks that
all free-thinking citizens of the world participate in a united general strike from all financial activities or work
commitments, beginning 1st May 2012.
We ask that our supporters, members of the public, community organisations, students, workers, and all New Zealanders
emancipate themselves from the slavery of corporate financial institutions and the State on that day, to send a clear
message that we will no longer tolerate the widespread corruption & degradation of our peoples & planet.
