500 Christchurch Red Zone State Houses

Housing Lobby Group

14th April 2012
Press release

Today Gerry Brownlee (Sat 14th April) told Housing New Zealand to get their properties up and running in Christchurch red zone.

With winter fast approaching and over 500 state houses needing urgent attention, the housing lobby is calling for a moratorium on the demolition and removal of any further state homes in Tamaki Glen Innes north.

It is nonsensical to destroy solid built homes in Glen Innes North, with so many sitting in a state of disrepair in Christchurch.
