Earth Hour: 31 March 2012 at 8.30pm

The world’s largest voluntary action for the environment, Earth Hour will take place across the globe this Saturday 31 March, as the lights switch off for one hour at 8.30pm local time.

Earth Hour has grown from a one-city initiative in 2007 to a global movement, last year reaching 1.8 billion people in 5,251 cities and towns in 135 countries across all seven continents.
