'NATIONAL HAS BETRAYED THE VOTERS'
"Beaches For All is a group of citizens angry at having the beaches, coast and seabed taken out of public ownership by National's 'Marine and Coastal Area Act'.
By reminding the voters of the true import of this Act, 'Beaches For All' is trying to unseat five targeted M.P.s who voted for it - Chris Finlayson, Peter Dunne, Paula Bennett, Simon Bridges and Jonathan Young. 30,000 fliers have been distributed in the Rongotai, Ohariu and Tauranga electorates, and hard hitting advertisements have been placed in the local papers in Waitakere, New Plymouth and Coromandel.
When the non-iwi voters realise how they have been swindled by this thieving and racist Act, it is unlikely that they will vote for National or United Future on the basis of "once bitten, twice shy".
The object is to unseat four of these five M.P.s while the aim in Rongotai is to reduce the vote for both Finlayson and the National Party so dramatically as to prevent this List M.P. from being reappointed as a minister in the increasingly unlikely event that National will be re-elected. How could a man, whose vote collapses, be regarded as anything other than a liability?
To see whether this explosion of "people power" has the desired effect, please watch the Election Night results in these five electorates as ex-National voters, disappointed with John Key and distrustful of Finlayson, desert the party in droves.
Polls mean nothing. On Election Day the voter is king.
