Heritage Services branch manager appointed

The Ministry for Culture and Heritage is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Milne as its deputy chief executive and heritage services branch manager.

Mr Milne moves to the Ministry from his current job as associate chief librarian at the Alexander Turnbull Library.

He is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and holds an MA in library and information studies from the University of London.

He has previously worked at Oxford University and The British Library and is keenly interested in a range of heritage issues.

Ministry for Culture and Heritage chief executive Lewis Holden says: “I am confident that Ronald will provide strong leadership to the Heritage Services Branch at a time when its work, particularly the First World War commemorations programme, which will be receiving considerable public attention.

“I’m also very much looking forward to the contribution that Ronald will make to the Ministry’s leadership role in the heritage sector.”

Mr Milne takes up his new appointment on December 5.
