Hon Peter Dunne: 1080 Kea Deaths Unacceptable - Deaths of Unborn Children Acceptable?
The Hon Peter Dunne is outraged at the death of seven Kea near Okarito, allegedly from an aerial application of 1080. Mr Dunne describes the deaths as "an unforgivable act." He asks, "How long is New Zealand going to put up with this?"
All New Zealanders will share Mr Dunne's passionate desire to protect our native bird populations. We have a duty to protect our wildlife entrusted to us by our Creator as part of our heritage to preserve for the next generation.
Mr Dunne is to be commended for courageously speaking up in defence of the right to life of the Kea.
It is wrong to kill Keas it is even a greater evil to kill an unborn child who is the weakest and most defenceless member of the human family. Each day in New Zealand the equivalent of two classrooms of children are killed before birth in our nation's hospitals. How long will New Zealand put up with this injustice?
It is disappointing that there is no record of Mr Dunne speaking up in defence of the right to life of our own children, why is this?
