Current Governor-General Leaves Post
There will be flags flying, gleaming swords, and a fanfare of trumpets as part of the State Farewell for Their Excellencies The Right Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand, Governor-General of New Zealand and Lady Susan Satyanand at Parliament this week. As part of the ceremony the NZ Defence Force will parade a 100 person Royal Guard of Honour, and fire a 21-gun salute from Point Jerningham.
