Waikato Tainui Te Kauhanganui (Inc) confirms the disqualification of Tukoroirangi Morgan

The Chair of Waikato Tainui Te Kauhanganui (Inc) (Mrs Tania Martin) confirms that TUKOROIRANGI MORGAN was yesterday disqualified as an elected member of Te Kauhanganui and from the executive committee Te Arataura.
Waikato marae representatives attending yesterday’s Half-yearly General Meeting at Hopuhopu upheld the following resolution:
“WAIKATO TAINUI (INC) CONFIRMS, pursuant to Rule 5.3.1(i) that TUKOROIRANGI MORGAN has acted in a manner which has brought or is likely to bring Te Kauhanganui into disrespect, by virtue of his conduct and activities (as outlined in Appendix C) as chair of Te Arataura and should therefore be disqualified as an elected member of Te Kauhanganui.”
Waikato Tainui Te Kauhanganui (Inc) is the governing authority, Trustee and principal shareholder of lands and assets and its primary object is to protect, advance, develop and unify the interests of the Waikato people.
