*Why Do We Have A Reserve Bank of New Zealand?*

*Why Do We Have A Reserve Bank of New Zealand?*

The arms-length relationship with the government of the day is seen to be one of the strengths of the RBNZ and it has been internationally applauded for it.

In a change of policy direction in the 1980s, the RBNZ focussed strongly on the causes of inflation, the damage that it does and how it might be alleviated. But how well did it steer this country through the crisis of 2008?

This, and much more, will be discussed with the Reserve Bank Governor, Dr. Alan Bollard, *In Conversation with Noel Cheer* next week on Triangle/Stratos Television.

Stratos Television, Nationwide: Monday June 13th at 7:30pm (repeated June 15th at 6:30am and June 17th at 12:30pm).

Stratos is found on Sky Digital Channel 89 and Freeview (satellite and HD) Channel 21.

Stratos is found also on Telstraclear Cable Channel 89 in Wellington, Kapiti and Christchurch and on the streaming television website ecasttv.co.nz

Triangle Television, Auckland (UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52): Wednesday June 15th at 7:00pm (repeated June 17th at 12:30pm)
