Kea Auckland and Craig Stobo unite to reverse brain drain Breakfast to inspire skilled Kiwis to stay home

Kea Auckland is inspiring the future of our city’s finance community hosting an exclusive breakfast with Craig Stobo, Chair of the International Financial Services Development Group, Wednesday 11th May.

A network of highly skilled Kiwis and migrants who have returned to or moved to Auckland, Kea Auckland has been established to foster and retain international experience for the benefit of the New Zealand economy.

The financial services breakfast with Craig Stobo is part of the group’s ongoing commitment to inform members and friends, of new business opportunities and to encourage beneficial networking opportunities.

Kea Auckland Chair, Chris Boys, says “New Zealand has a huge global diaspora of incredibly skilled people who want to return home but still earn a global income. The work that Craig has been doing will help make this possible and we therefore want to ensure our members are the first to know about the opportunities and reap the rewards.”

Stobo will give Kea Aucklanders an insight into his newly released report and his vision for New Zealand as the centre for a fund services industry for Asia and the Pacific; “We could be to Asia what Luxembourg is to Europe and the Cayman Islands is to the US”.

Publicised to the global Kea network, Stobo will answer questions not only from those present at the breakfast meeting but also from some of the 25,000 members across the globe who want to know how regulatory changes could mean brighter futures for Kiwis looking to return home.
