Apanui Iwi Protest Deep Sea Oil Drilling in New Zealand Waters
Coinciding with the international ‘Day of Direct Action against Extraction’ commemorating the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster, a substantial group protested against Deep Sea Oil Drilling in New Zealand Waters in Wellington today. The group consisted mostly of Maori from the Iwi Te Whānau-ā-Apanui.
