Northland Candidate Contest

Today, five members of the New Zealand National Party were confirmed as nominees for the party nomination in the Northland Electorate. This follows nominee interviews at a meeting over the weekend of the Northland pre-selection committee chaired by Electorate Chair Sally Macauley.

The five aspiring candidates will now proceed to the final selection. They will have the opportunity to campaign amongst the 275 local party delegates who will vote on 30 April 2011, to determine the Northland National Party candidate in the general election.

The five people confirmed are:

Sarah Davies
Matt King
Ken Rintoul
Mike Sabin
Mark Tan
