Labour Party appoints Moira Coatsworth new President
Outgoing Labour Party President Andrew Little today warmly welcomed Moira Coatsworth as the new President of the New Zealand Labour Party.
Ms Coatsworth, who was the Party’s Senior Vice President, was elected unopposed.
“Moira is a person of great ability and integrity. She is highly respected by MP’s and party members nationwide.
“Her passion for upholding our Labour values, strengthening and growing our party organization will make her an exceptional President who will ready the party for this year’s general election,” Andrew Little said.
“I have enjoyed my time as the President of the Labour Party and would like to thank Labour Party leaders Phil Goff and Annette King, Moira Coatsworth and Chris Flatt for their support. With the general election months away the Party could not be in better hands,” Andrew Little said today.
