Howick councillor Jami-Lee Ross resigns
Auckland Council Chief Executive, Doug McKay, was advised this morning of Cr Jami-Lee Ross’ resignation as Howick ward
councillor following his Botany by-election win at the weekend.
Cr Ross’ resignation took effect immediately this morning and a by-election must be held within 82 days to elect a new
councillor.
An announcement on the date for the by-election will be made in the near future.
The Mayor has reminded people in the Howick ward of the need for them to play their part in the democratic process.
“All voters should take this opportunity to check their enrolment to make sure they are eligible to cast their vote,”
says Len Brown.
