Diwali Greetings

“On behalf of the members and supporters of the Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ), the Young Executive Club (YEC) and the New Zealand Association of Certified Public Accountants (NZACPA) I wish all our Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists brothers and sisters and all their supporters and well-wishers a very blissful, happy and prosperous Diwali”, said Alton Shameem JP the Community Leader, Founder and President of all the aforementioned organizations at Takapuna, North shore City, Auckland the City of Light and Festival.

“Diwali is a five day festival symbolizing good over evil, freedom, light overcoming darkness, happiness, joy, prosperity, peace, hope and love. Bhai dooj that is the honoring of brother and sister relationship is an integral part of Diwali celebrations as we all are brothers and sisters in our journey of life.

This is also the time for prayers, wearing of new clothes, sharing sweets with our whanau and mates and lighting up diyas so that our light shines with all humankind “said Alton Shameem JP the Civic Leader, Founder, Chairman and President of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ), the Young Executive Club (YEC) and the New Zealand Association of Certified Public Accountants (NZACPA).

“In many countries like India, Fiji, Burma and Nepal they have national holidays to celebrate Diwali and spreading the human values of love, peace, freedom, hope, prosperity and goodness to all our brothers and sisters.

” We will be celebrating the Diwali festival as guests of the Waitakere Indian Association at Trusts Stadium, Central Park Drive in Henderson, Waitakere City, Auckland on Sunday, October 24 and lighting up the diyas at our homes and temples” said Alton Shameem JP the Multicultural Leader, Founder, Chairman and President of Fiji Club of New Zealand (FCNZ), the Young Executive Club (YEC) and the New Zealand Association of Certified Public Accountants (NZACPA).
