Child
Poverty Action Group (CPAG) applauds the Labour party's
proposed policy "Putting Children First". Research shows
that the first six years of life are the most important for
children and New Zealand needs to invest more in these
years..
CPAG is particularly pleased to see Annette King acknowledging the reality that too many children are growing up in poverty in New Zealand. However, we are disappointed that children will have to wait for a change of Government to be given the policy priority they need.
The Group is looking forward to reading the details of the proposed policies.
