Tony
Davies-Colley, Bronwyn Hunt and Graeme Ramsey will be the
three new faces on the Northland Regional Council with final
election results today (subs: Fri 15 Oct)
confirming a line-up unchanged from Election Day.
In the Whangarei constituency, Cr Davies-Colley replaces veteran local authority representative Peter Jensen, whose bid to secure the seat he had held since 1992 was unsuccessful.
Councillor Hunt replaces former Far North-based Councillor Lorraine Hill, who did not seek re-election, while Cr Ramsey will serve as Kaipara’s sole representative after unseating former NRC Chairman Mark Farnsworth, who had also represented the area since 1992.
The Regional Council’s remaining five members are all re-elected Councillors.

Electoral Officer Linda Stansfield says Regional Councillors
are now expected to be formally sworn in at a meeting in
mid-November. Among the new Council’s first tasks at that
meeting will be to elect a Chairman and a Deputy.
