Labour Selects Mana Candidate

The Labour candidate in the upcoming Mana by-election is Press Secretary, Kris Faafoi.

Announcing the candidacy today, President Andrew Little says there were four top nominees making themselves available to continue the outstanding local work of retiring Labour MP Hon Luamanuvao Winnie Laban, but in the end Kris Faafoi emerged the winner.

Mr Little says Mana is a heartland Labour seat but the Party is taking nothing for granted in the upcoming by-election and that Kris will take the fight to National.

Kris Faafoi says he’s privileged to be the Labour Candidate.

“It is an absolute honour to be selected as the Mana Labour candidate to continue the amazing work undertaken by the retiring Labour MP Hon Luamanuvao Winnie Laban”

“Employment, health, education and local issues like the expressway will be top issues in the by-election” says Mr Faafoi

Kris Faafoi is Chief Press Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition and Chairperson of the Rongotai Pacific Branch of the Labour Party.
