Second Wave of Whānau Ora EOI Proposals Still Open

Second Wave of Whānau Ora EOI Proposals Still Open

Provider organisations that missed the first closing date for submitting Whānau Ora Expression of Interest proposals, on 7 July 2010, still have ample time to lodge a response and be considered as part of the second wave of Whānau Ora providers.

Governance Group chair, Rob Cooper said responses to the first wave EOI showed a strong desire by organisations throughout the country to be involved in Whānau Ora.

He said a similar level of interest was expected from provider organisations that had opted to be part of the second wave of EOI applications, which close on 2 August 2010.

Mr Cooper wanted to assure all providers involved in the EOI process that all applications would be treated upon merit.

“There have been no pre-selection of providers and we are looking forward to the final results”, said Mr Cooper.

He said the Whānau Ora Regional Leadership Groups due to be announced next week had a key role in actively assisting in assessing all of the EOI applications.

The Regional Leadership Groups will make recommendations to the Whānau Ora Governance Group for final consideration.

Respondents to the first wave EOI would be notified of their success by 2 August 2010 and respondents to the second wave would be notified by 30 September 2010.
