Stratford District Council Draft 2010/2011 Annual Plan

Stratford District council have released their Draft 2010/2011 Annual Plan with an option of an average 2.32% increase in rates for the year ahead.

The draft plan explains the council’s proposition to reduce the seal extension for 2010/2011 from 5km to 2km.

There has been no increase in Fees and Charges and the sample rates show a decrease from what was proposed in last years LTCCP.

The draft Annual Plan is open for consultation to provide an opportunity for the community to express its view on the proposal.

Submissions on matters relating to the draft Annual Plan will be received up until 4.00pm on Thursday 22 April 2010. There is then the opportunity for people to speak to their submission on Thursday 6 May at the Policy & Services Committee meeting.

Two public meetings are being held for consultation. The first was held on Thursday 18 March at the War Memorial Centre, with the second and last meeting being held on Tuesday 13 April at the Whangamomona Hall.

Council welcomes upon request other consultation meetings with local groups and organisations between the dates of 15 March 2010 and 22 April 2010.
