NUPE and Ministry of Justice reach agreement

The National Union of Public Employees has reached agreement with the Ministry of Justice on its collective employment agreement.

In a joint media statement issued today, NUPE announced that the offer will now be put to its members for ratification.

“We are delighted to have reached an accord with NUPE over pay talks,” says Tony Fisher, General Manager District Courts.

“We are very pleased that the Ministry’s offer will be put to NUPE members to vote on,” he says.

NUPE’s lead advocate, Les Bryce, said that the bargaining had been completed in good faith.

“We are confident that this is the best offer available within the Ministry’s budgetary constraints. It recognises the valuable contribution made by our members to the justice system,” Les Bryce says.
