Challenges Misinformation of the Abortion Law Reform
Association [ALRANZ]
The public are entitled to be
provided with truthful information about the killing of
unborn children. Dame Margaret Sparrow the spokesperson for
ALRANZ in her media release of the 9th October stated that
“having a medical abortion is 10 times safer than giving
birth.” This is a falsehood, safe for whom? It is
certainly not safe for the unborn child who is killed in her
mother’s womb. It is also not safer for the mother who is
left with a lifetime of sorrow, regret, spiritual, physical
and psychological damage. The use of this drug is
intrinsically evil and a violation of the human rights of
the unborn.
It is readily acknowledged that Dame Margaret sincerely cares about the welfare of women but is sadly mistaken in believing that as a society we can best help women with a crisis pregnancy by killing her child. Mothers and their unborn need the love, compassion and care of a loving community.
Mifegyne RU486, used in New Zealand for medical abortions is a poisonous murder pill. Its sole purpose is to kill an innocent and defenceless unborn child in its first seven weeks of life. This human pesticide was invented by Dr Etienne-Emily Baulieu in France in 1980. Dr Baulieu stated that using the drug was not a simple procedure and was “an appalling psychological ordeal for women.” Many French women have said that it is a very painful experience. The poison acts by blocking the hormone progesterone which enables the baby to remain implanted in the mother’s womb and to be nourished. Mifegyne causes the baby to die painfully from starvation. Its use was approved by the Minister of Health Annette King in August 2001.
ALRANZ commends this lethal pill by stating that the World Health Organisation, [WHO] placed mifepristone {mifegyne] on the list of essential medicines for developing countries because of its significance for public health. It is not a medicine but a poison. It is appalling that ALRANZ is supporting WHO in pursuing its policy of seeking to de- populate the world by killing the children of the poor in developing nations.
It is understandable that Dame Margaret Sparrow supports the application of the Family Planning Association to the Abortion Supervisory Committee for a licence to perform medical abortions at its Hamilton clinic. Dr Sparrow is an Honorary Vice President and life member of the Family Planning Association, she is also a share holder and director of Istar Ltd, the sole importer of the murder pill, Mifegyne. Right to Life is undeterred in its opposition to this licence to kill unborn children being granted to Family Planning.
