Help Samoa rebuild, with Resene PaintAid
The recent tsunami has left a trail of devastation in much of Samoa. Reconstruction will take many months, if not years.
Resene are playing their part in the reconstruction effort by donating and sending paint to Samoa but we need your help. If you can spare some Resene paint you don’t need or is left over, we’ll get it to Samoa in conjunction with Unicef volunteers to see it gets to where it’s most needed.
Please do not bring in
old paint in poor condition. Paint donations need to
be:
• Good condition waterborne Resene premium paint,
primers or sealers only suitable for transport to Samoa and
use in rebuilding projects.
• Containers must be at
least half full, well sealed and in good condition (e.g. not
rusting, no leaks).
• Paint must be in its original
packaging with the original product label, so that Unicef
can distribute it to the appropriate building
projects.
• Sorry no protective coatings, textured
coatings or trade paint.
Paint donations can be made to Resene ColorShop PaintWise Collection Centres during normal shop opening hours. See www.resene.co.nz/paintaid for a list of Resene ColorShops that can accept paint donations. Paint donations cannot be accepted by any other Resene ColorShops. All paint donations must be received by 30 November 2009.
Not sure about the condition of the paint you wish
to donate?
If you think the Resene paint you have is of
marginal standard for donation to Samoa, bring it in anyway
to a PaintWise Collection Centre ColorShop. Any unwanted
paint that you wish to return that is not suitable for use
in Samoa can be returned to the Resene PaintWise paint and
paint packaging recovery service for recycling or donation
to community groups – see www.resene.co.nz/paintwise.htm
for details. Standard Resene PaintWise return fees apply on
non Resene paints and on trade returns.
Financial donations can be made to Unicef www.unicef.co.nz or 0800 800 194
