The World March for Peace and Non Violence is
starting in New Zealand on Friday October 2nd March, 2009,
the day of Gandhi’s birth anniversary and the
“International Day for Non Violence”, as declared by
the United Nations.
The March will go to 90 countries over the 6 continents ending on January 2nd., 2010 in the heights of the Andes Mountains.
The core team of the International Participants, many of whom are now in Wellington, New Zealand, will move around the entire planet asking for the end of wars, the end of nuclear weapons and the elimination of all forms of violence.
On their path they will be joined by all those who stand for peace, striving to build a global consciousness in favour of a Non-Violent culture.
The International Launch of the World March will start this Friday October the 2nd, 9.30 am at the Gandhi statue, Wellington Central Railway Station.
