New Zealand’s only annual national alternative dispute resolution conference about to launch
Thursday 6 August will see leading dispute resolvers converge on Wellington with a launch of their 2 ½ day annual
conference by Attorney General Hon. Christopher Finlayson. The conference will feature over 45 presenters including:
• Eminent mediator, attorney and author, J. Anderson (Andy) Little who led North Carolina’s efforts to incorporate
mediation into its courts. (North Carolina is now recognised as a leader in the United States for using mediation in the
court system). Mr Little is also the author of the highly acclaimed book ’Making Money Talk: How to Mediate Insured
Claims and Other Monetary Disputes’, published by the American Bar Association. The book explains how to better
negotiate by understanding the language of numbers.
• Former Australian High Court Judge The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG. Mr Kirby is the longest serving judicial officer in
Australia and has served on numerous international and UN bodies.
• Acting Principal Family Court Judge Paul von Dadelszen.
• His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand The Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, GNZM, QSO.
