Jackson James Wood Accepts Lee's Apology
Mount Albert aspirant and kind-hearted soul, Jackson James Wood, today accepted the apology of fellow candidate Melissa Lee on behalf of all Wellingtonians.
"I accept Melissa Lee did not mean to impugn on the character of South Auckland with her comments," Wood said.
"As such, I accept her apology in her press release of ten minutes ago on behalf of all Wellingtonians, except those crooks in the Hutt Valley."
For reference, the release by Melissa Lee contained the following statement:
“I apologise unreservedly for the comments I made regarding South Auckland and the linkage that I drew between the planned Waterview extension and crime.”
“I was wrong to have implied that crime is solely a South Auckland problem, or that the new motorway would reduce crime.”
