Kiwi Party will stand a candidate in Mt Albert by-election.

Press Release
April 25, 2009
Kiwi Party leader Larry Baldock announced today that the Party would contest the by-election in Mt Albert on June 13. Nominations will close on May 4th.
“We intend to campaign hard to make Mt Albert voters aware they have the choice of supporting a candidate representing values based policies,” said Mr Baldock.

“There does not seem to be any party currently in Parliament committed to addressing the damage done by the Labour Party’s social engineering during their 9 years in office.
“The majority of New Zealanders want to see the anti-smacking law repealed, the drinking age raised as recommended this week by the law commission, and the misery caused by legalised street prostitution addressed. These are some of the issues the new National led government does not appear to have on their agenda.

“New Zealand will not navigate through the current world recession with economic solutions unless they are undergirded once again by the timeless values that have been the foundation of our nation."
