The Agender New Zealand Executive Committee and Conference Coordinator are delighted to present
“Beeing Who We Are!”
as the theme for this year’s National Agender Conference. It encapsulates the very essence of who we are now…..as a
community filled with many shades of pink, blue, in between, and even still questioning – whatever your level or
affiliation within the transgender continuum – this conference is for you!
Among us are many talented and dynamic individuals either from within our community, or who provide a service to our
community. This conference provides the opportunity to share, network and build our community. “Beeing Who We Are!”
Embrace the concept now and enjoy the variety and inclusiveness in the many presentations planned for you this Queens
Birthday weekend. For some on our community this is the only a safe place for them to “Bee” who they are.
It is with much delight that we announce the keynote speakers at ‘your’ conference! They are: New Zealand Icon and new
Agender Patron Carmen Rupe; Fuimaono Karl Pulotu-Endemann, entertainer, broadcaster, author and Agender President Joanne
Clarke and we are delighted to add TV2’s Sensing Murder star Sue Nicholson to the line up. You will be inspired,
captivated and certainly entertained by this array of amazing people who will no doubt “Bee Who They Are!” just for you!

This Conference is open to all members of the wider Transgender Community and their supporters, and is a chance for many
of us to come together and share our experiences in a safe inclusive environment. There are workshops and fun activities
for all. The Transgender community is one of the most marginalised groups in the world as detailed in the recent release
of the Human Rights Commission’s Transgender Inquiry report. We have just announced a scholarship fund for assistance to
those who might otherwise not attend due to difficulty with being able to fully fund their conference fees. All this
