What is New Zealand’s most loved town?

What is New Zealand’s most loved town?

The hunt is on to find New Zealand’s most loved hometown.

Billi Tees, a homegrown t-shirt company, has launched their nationwide Holla for your Hometown competition to find New Zealand’s most loved town, which they’ll reward with a unique t-shirt design.

Whether your town’s famous for its giant trout, revered because you’ve got rocks that look like pancakes or has a slogan like “it’s more than you’d expect”, Billi Tees wants to hear from you!

People can vote for their town online at

  • With just one vote per email address, townsfolk need to encourage their neighbours, postman, diary owner, Grandma and school to vote to be in to win.

The town with the most votes on Friday 7 November takes the prizes. A special handover ceremony will be organised for Saturday 29 November, when the winner will be announced.

The winning town will be crowned New Zealand’s most loved town and receive their own t-shirt design, which will be presented to the town’s mayor in a bang-up afternoon tea.

As well as the framed design presented to the town, the first 30 people who
voted for the winner will get a free t-shirt. And everyone who voted for the winning town will receive a discount on that t-shirt and an invitation to the handover ceremony, with pink lamingtons and more giveaways.
