Auditor General's Terms Of Reference Welcomed
Today's announcement by the Office of the Auditor-General of the terms of reference of its audit and inquiry into Immigration New Zealand has been welcomed by the Chief Executive of the Department of Labour, Christopher Blake.
"The enquiry will help the Department get to the bottom of the issues of public concern and ultimately to make whatever improvements may be necessary," Mr Blake said.
"The enquiry will complement the Department's own review of Pacific Division already under way. As noted in the terms of reference, the Auditor-General will liaise with the independent reviewers commissioned by the Department.
"I will ensure that the Department cooperates fully with the Office of the Auditor-General throughout this process," Mr Blake said.
