Thompson resignation not enough, full inquiry still needed. The Kiwi Party

Kiwi Party Leader Larry Baldock and Immigration Watch spokesman Bernie Ogilvy, today welcomed the resignation of
Mary-Anne Thompson, but said that Thompson’s resignation does not answer the real issues.
"Not only did we call for her resignation, but we also called for a full investigation into the illegal affair.
Otherwise justice in New Zealand could be considered a joke," they said.
Mr Ogilvy said, "Her illegal relatives need to be evicted and sent home, like any other illegal alien, and reapply under
the correct category. They need to be stripped of their Permanent Residency, gained illegally through Thompson’s
actions. Section 20 of the Immigration Act needs to be invoked. A strong uncompromising message needs to be sent by the
Minister of Immigration. "
"Thompson’s illegal acts of cover up and abuse of raw power is reprehensible in this country. In our experience this is
only the thin edge of the wedge in regard to corruption and mismanagement within INZ," said Mr Baldock.
"Thompson’s acts must be independently reviewed so that she also gets the full force of our laws. Resigning with her
legal entitlements should not be acceptable if the review confirms her abuse of power," they said.
