Counties Manukau Police Investigate Otahuhu Baby's Injuries - Update

Tahini Mahomed, the 2mth old Otahuhu baby girl who was admitted to Starship Hospital on Friday 28 December 2007 with critical head injuries has died in Starship Hospital at 5.00am this morning.

A Post-Mortem examination will be conducted on Wednesday. Results of the Post-Mortem will determine the direction of the Police Investigation.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Lynch says that everyone spoken to so far on the enquiry has been co-operating. Due to the time of the year slow progress is expected with a number of persons Police need to speak to away on holiday.

Police are not in a position to offer any further comment until the results of the Post-Mortem examination are known.
