PSA Sad To See Hugh Logan's Destinguished Career End In Resignation
The PSA is sad to see Hugh Logan's public service career end in resignation.
Hugh Logan announced his resignation as chief executive of the Ministry for the Environment today.
PSA National Secretary, Brenda Pilott says it's unfortunate that the mistakes Mr Logan made in his handling of the
Madeleine Setchell and Clare Curran cases have cost him his job.
"We are very sad to see Hugh Logan's long and distinguished public service career end in this way," says Brenda Pilott.
"Hugh Logan was the man brought in to resurrect the Department of Conservation after the Cave Creek Disaster in 1995" *
"He took on this huge job and turned DOC into the world leading conservation agency that it is today."
"We would like that to be his legacy as he ends his 26 year career in the public service," says Brenda Pilott.
She says the PSA has always been able to work constructively with Hugh Logan.
"In his dealings with the union we have found Hugh Logan to be a good employer," says Brenda Pilott. *14 people were
killed when a Department of Conservation viewing platform collapsed at Cave Creek on the West Coast in 1995
