Conservation Artwork Still Available

Online bidding is still available on the Forest & Bird art auction site for works not sold at the recent live auction. Bidding will close off at fortnightly intervals with unsold works then rolling over for another 2 weeks. Go to www.forestandbird.org.nz and follow the auction website link to register and place your bids.

The live Art for Conservation charity auction was very successful, raising over $90,000 from a combination of online and live bidding. The event was held at Government House in Wellingtonon the 4th of October, hosted by their Excellencies the Governor General of New Zealandthe Honourable Anand Satyanand and Susan Satyanand.

Forest & Bird is grateful for the support of dozens of contributing artists who generously donated over 100 paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings for this auction.

Proceeds from this auction are going towards Forest & Bird’s campaign seeking greater protection for endangered Hector’s and Maui’s dolphins, and its campaign for greater protection of the South Islandhigh country’s landscapes and native species through a network of conservation parks.

Please forward this to all your networks and friends to help spread the word and raise even more funds for these important campaigns.
Thank you for your support.
