'Willie Jackson calls Peters a disgrace'

‘Willie Jackson calls Peters a disgrace’

Radio Waatea and Waatea news top current affairs interviewer Willie Jackson called NZ First Leader Winston Peters “a disgrace” in a fierce twenty minute interview/debate held on Radio Waatea’s NZ on Air show Paakiwaha. Jackson who also fronts TVNZ Eye to Eye and is co host with John Tamihere on a daily talkback show on Radio Live said “it was a very challenging interview”.

Jackson said “Winston needed to be challenged for his annual Maori bashing rhetoric and it was great to be able to get that opportunity”.

Jackson also said that “the interview could have just been reduced to both of us trading insults, (although there were a few), but developed into one of the best interview/debates that I have had with any politician”.
