or mobile phones in an environmentally sustainable way. eDay will be held in 12 locations across the country on the
weekend of 29 - 30 September.
eDay will be officially launched on Wednesday 19th September with special guests at Remarkit, refurbishers and
re-marketers of computer equipment.
When: Wednesday 19th September, 8.45am - 9.15am
Where: Remarkit, 130 Waterloo Quay, Wellington City
Guests:
* David Cunliffe, Minister of Information Technology and of Communications
* Hugh Logan, CEO, Ministry for the Environment
* Laurence Zwimpfer, Computer Access New Zealand, national e-Day co-ordinator

Why: eDay aims to increase community awareness of the hazardous nature of electronic equipment, making it clear that

households and community organisations to dispose of computer equipment and mobile phones in an environmentally
sustainable manner.
