Press release: Monday, 9 July 2007

Canadian High Commission to host O.E. Evening

The Canadian High Commission will host an “O.E. Evening” in Auckland on Wednesday, July 11 to provide information to young Kiwis who are looking to go to Canada on their O.E.

“The Working Holiday Programme is an excellent opportunity that allows young New Zealanders to work and earn money while experiencing life in Canada. Many young Kiwis visit Canada each year and enjoy the diversity and multicultural character of our country and its magnificent landscapes,” says High Commissioner Penny Reedie.

The evening will provide information about the successful “Working Holiday Programme” as well as vital information on recruitment agencies, travel, and insurance.

This free event, aimed at 18 to 30 year olds will be at the International Exchange Programme offices, Level 10, 220 Queen St from 5.30 to 7pm. Further information can be found at the High Commission’s website at: www.wellington.gc.ca.
