Foundation for Youth Development would like to extend its congratulations to Wayne Walden, on being appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business and the community.

Mr. Walden has showed a longstanding commitment and support to Foundation for Youth Development from the very first days when the organisation was founded. He was founding chairman of the Project K youth development programme and is chairman of the Youth Development Endowment Trust.

Founded in 1994 by Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson, the not-for-profit organisation Foundation for Youth Development is a leader in the field of youth development. FYD provides young people from age 5 to 18 with the opportunity to build self-confidence, and learn valuable life skills by participating in unique development programmes. Current programmes include Kiwi Can, Stars and Project K.

Jo-anne Wilkinson said “It is an inspiration to see Mr. Walden’s great achievements in business and the community being recognised, and Foundation for Youth Development is honoured to have someone with so much knowledge involved with the organisation.”
