NZ Bloggers unimpressed with Key

Today, the New Zealand Bloggers’ Union declared its opposition to John Key’s blatant spin attempts to appear as a decent bloke.

The NZBU spokesperson, Mr. Barnabus Whittington has received a deluge of incensed emails concerning Mr. Key, and has responded to their cry to hold Mr. Key accountable

Several bloggers, after finishing their copy of Nicky Hagar’s successful and unchallenged expose The Hollow Men, petitioned prominent members of the NZBU to express their profound indignation at John Key’s sub par, Hillary-esque ‘Join the conversation’ “web casts” on his website.

‘Many bloggers are alarmed about the lack of policy and direction stemming from the National Party and are distrustful of John Key’s motives.’

‘This “v-log” is clearly an attempt to hide the National Party’s real agenda – that of drastically slashing social spending, privatisation and sending Kiwis to George Bush’s next war in North Korea (and possibly Iran)’ said Mr. Whittington

A blogger, wishing to remain anonymous, voiced their concern: ‘All we hear is spin and more spin from that man. Do any of us really know what he would do as Prime Minister? The thought is simply unimaginable. I’d wonder if he even knows what he was doing’

Another blogger commented ‘I’m just so afraid of what John Key’s National party will do to this country. We’re enjoying the lowest unemployment rate since the second World War, the lowest crime rate in a generation and the fewest number of babies eaten by capitalists since the fall of Constantinople’

Mr Whittington further commented that ‘rumours are running rife that blog addict David Farrar has seen the errors of his ways, and will be supporting Labour in 2008’

The NZBU would also take this opportunity to announce its intention to affiliate to the New Zealand Labour Party.
